I have previous professional managerial and marketing experience.

What are your goals/vision for your committees of choice? How do you think you can contribute to them?

I want to help improve and encourage outreach and communication by better highlighting the benefits and appeal of these important aspects of our experience. I also hope to address the shroud of anxiety that can often discourage students in some capacity.

Any other relevant information you would like to share

Interaction fosters opportunity and creation; I believe I can help our school better embrace this idea!.

I served as Residential Affairs Liaison for my undergraduate student government, where I managed the housing selection process and on-campus storage, and as President and Treasurer of the student makerspace. These positions required me to design new policies and implement policy changes, lead committees, build consensus among stakeholders, negotiate with administrators, and manage multiple budgets.

What are your goals/vision for your committees of choice? How do you think you can contribute to them?

I am very excited about the data coming from the student Quality of Life survey and the ways in which these data could be leveraged to shape policy or start conversations with the administration. I want to continue working in student governance and help to improve the SEAS and Columbia communities.

I was outreach chair for the Cornell Materials Society in my Senior year.

What are your goals/vision for your committees of choice? How do you think you can contribute to them?

I found the Alumni and student mixer last year to be valuable, but I would like to see smaller events that may be focused by department or by industry. Better advertise professional development events offered by CCE beyond info/networking sessions. Introduce a round table speed networking event where participants get some one-on-one time with the alumni/professionals seated at the table. Finally, raise the profile of Material Science at events which seems underrepresented since it falls under the umbrella of APAM.
